Hello Everyone! Today we are going to be reviewing a performance from “The Lab” dance group. They performed this routine on the popular dance show, World Of Dance. I thought that this would be a good way to lift the spirits of all of the dancers that can’t wait to get back to the studio. Without further ado, let’s watch the video and start reviewing!
The first thing that I noticed when I watched this performance were the facial expressions of the dancers during this routine. The dancers really got into character and were very spunky and confident. The use of facial expressions drew the judges in and enhanced the excellence of the routine.I noticed that at the beginning of the routine the use of their arms drew attention to the desk. This was great choreography because it utilized the prop and explained the setting of the dance. Just like facial expressions show the mood, props show the setting.
The Lab dance group also used synchronized dance movements and changing speeds to add flair to their routine. They changed the speed of the dance from fast to slow to give the dance somewhat of a slow motion effect. The choreography complimented the music. The part where the desks were turned over while the bass boomed was exquisite! The judges actually jumped out of their chairs! 🙂 Overall, this routine was wonderful and I have no major critiques for The Lab dance group.
During this quarantine I encourage all of you to stay fit and keep dancing. Maybe even choreograph something of your own! If you have any suggestions for what I should review next please comment them down below or on the Twitter page. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Stay tuned for a dance conditioning post that is coming soon. 🙂
