Achieving Your Dreams In A World That Wants You To Fit The Mold

Hello Everyone! Today we are talking about achieving your dreams in a world that wants you to fit the mold. It can be hard to work towards your goals and dreams when you feel pressured to fit a certain image or mold. I am here to tell you that you do not need to fit the mold! Your destiny is completely your own. You don’t need to feel obligated to fulfill the wants and expectations of the world. If you have a dream or an inkling of passion towards something positive, you should invest in your future. In other words, you shouldn’t hesitate to work towards achieving your goals and dreams! There is only one person that can change the world in the way that you can, and *big surprise* that person is you!

It is easy to feel like you don’t deserve to achieve your goals and dreams and to give in to the world’s standard of success. Achieving your dreams in our current world is hard! You would be surprised how many talented people have given up their goals and dreams to pursue something that they didn’t even want to do. I don’t want that to be your story, so today I am going to tell you a story. This story is about a young girl that felt pressured to fit the mold but didn’t in the end.

When I was in middle school, I was a girl with an inkling of hope and passion. I always liked to dream big and think of solutions to the world’s problems. I loved to think of solutions to everything from world hunger to the answer to world peace. Convincing myself that I was born to make a change was easy, but dealing with the adversity at school was hard. Everyone expected me to fit the mold of what the perfect little girl was supposed to be: obsessed with boys, makeup, homemaking, and one day as an adult becoming a mom. I wasn’t like that; I was interested in critical thinking, making the world a better place, and leaving a positive mark on the world that lasted long after I was gone.

In school, my passions and expectations of myself and my future weren’t accepted among the students. On more than one occasion, I remember desperately racking my brain for the pros and cons of following my dreams versus fitting the mold at my school to be “cool.” Eventually, I decided that I didn’t need to “fit the mold” and that perfection was overrated. In my eighth grade year of school Live Life The Girl Way was born. I started with a free blog and worked tirelessly to get my ideas out there for three reasons. The three reasons were to make a positive difference in the world, to achieve my goals and dreams, and to be an example to empower and encourage girls to do the same. To achieve their dreams in a world that wanted them to “fit the mold.”

I know that this post is long, but I am writing it to tell you that you can achieve all of your goals and dreams no matter what your circumstances are. Empowering and encouraging all of you to be your best selves, and to achieve all of your positive goals and dreams is what motivates me to wake up in the morning. Please promise me that you will never give up on your goals and  passions to fit a stereotypical “mold.” Always believe in your ability to succeed!
