Goodbye Fear Of Failure!

Dear readers, today we are talking about a very important topic, the fear of failure. The fear of failure can really hold you back in life, believe me I know. Recently, I’ve been doubting myself and my abilities, Sophomore year of high school is really different from Freshman year. I am taking all advanced classes and the intensity of all of the classes are really taking a toll on my brain. 🙂 As a result of the pressure I started to doubt my abilities, and I basically developed a fear of failure.

You are probably wondering how I got over my fear and how I came to start writing this post. Well since you asked, I got over my fear of failure by realizing two very important things. The first thing was that life presents challenges, but it’s how you choose to deal with those challenges that matters. When I realized this, at first I wasn’t ready to accept it, but over the course of the day I decided that this was really pure logic and an excellent way to change from a negative mindset to a positive mindset.

I started to move away from all of the negativity, doubt, and fear that I had collected and instead I moved towards positive thoughts and back towards my usual bubbly and confident personality. I noticed that when I made this change I was much happier and suddenly even my most challenging classes didn’t seem as difficult as before. Slowly but surely I started to take better control of my myself and my surroundings. I am always amazed at how much good can come from changing your mindset!

The second thing that I realized was that I had an entire community of support. By this I mean that I had my friends, family, teachers, and all of you! I didn’t have to keep my struggles inside because I had many people who were ready and willing to help me to succeed. This was the key moment that diminshed my fear of failure. I realized that I didn’t need to be afraid of failing because with confidence in myself and my abilities, and with the help of the people around me I could succeed and blow all of my fears and doubts out of the water.

All of this to say, that if you are struggling with the fear of failure you should be aware of the fact that you have support everywhere that you turn. Don’t be afraid to ask, there is no pressure for you to be perfect. In fact, it is physically impossible for you to be perfect! Doesn’t that make you feel relieved? It definitely makes me feel much calmer! 🙂 Also, just know that the road to confidence and happiness starts with you. The second that you decide to be confident and happy, not only will you feel better, but others will also notice the change and could be motivated to join you on the path to happiness and success! You could be an inspiration to someone! You definitely inspire me. 🙂
