Hello Everyone! How are you doing? Long time no see, but I promise that I have a good reason. As you may or may not know, I have been working on launching my “Fuel Her Dreams” fundraiser. Fuel Her Dreams raises money for the education of girls in Malawi. Fundraisers have a lot of moving parts, in other words, they require a lot of time and effort to be properly carried out. I am really enjoying the process of working on Fuel Her Dreams and getting ready to launch it for all of you! Well, that’s enough about what’s coming in the future, let’s talk about the content that I have for you today. Today we are talking about making your dreams happen and not taking no for an answer!
So, we’ve all heard no before. And for girls and women, we hear it way more often than not, especially when we are trying to achieve our goals and dreams. I’m here to tell you today, as someone who has been told repeatedly that she can’t achieve her goals and dreams, that we cannot afford to take no for an answer. You’re probably wondering why girls hear no so often when trying to make their dream happen, well in short, we hear no because adversity is very real. While our society has made many strides towards improving female equality, it still has a long way to go in terms of eliminating the adversity that we girls face every day. However, we cannot afford to let that stop us. We must rise above adversity and do everything in our power to make our dreams happen. You must do everything in your power to make your dreams happen.
The plain and simple truth is that there is only one person that can make your dreams happen is you. And you have a special gift, talent, and purpose in life that is unique to you. Unfortunately, many girls and women never take the chance to find out what their spark is. And what’s even worse is that those who do find their spark many times don’t pursue it due to the constant adversity that they face from society every day. I urge you not to join the numbers, don’t be another statistic, be a living, breathing person that is making her dreams happen. No one else can make your dreams happen for you, and that’s great! That’s so great because guess what? You already have everything that you need to succeed: it’s already inside of you! So, I tell you once again to just go for it and to make sure that you never take no for an answer when it comes to making your dreams happen. Don’t ever be afraid to ask for help. People want to see you succeed, and you have cheerleaders everywhere that you look if you take the chance to find them. You got this girl! Get out there and make your dreams happen.
