Hey Girls! I hope that all of you are doing well. Today we are talking about staying motivated in the midst of challenging competition. As human beings, experiencing challenging competition is inevitable. Oftentimes, challenging competition is placed in a negative light. What we don’t realize is that competition can be our most valuable resource.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Competition can be a valuable resource because challenges are excellent ways to push yourself to your limits. I can testify to the fact that not too long ago, when I saw competition I would run in the other direction! I didn’t like to be challenged because in my eyes competition was another word for defeat. Before long, I had convinced myself that competition was the worst thing known to man! I despised competing in spelling bee’s because I felt intimidated by the other children. Because of my fear of competition I started to deny myself of important opportunities. My self confidence started to suffer and with it my opportunities.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Soon I took notice of the consequences of my fear of competition. I decided that enough was enough! I started to work towards winning and slowly but surely I rebuilt my self confidence. After many months of practice I confidently participated in a spelling bee and I took second place! Ever since that day I have never forgotten the importance of staying motivated in the midst of challenging competition.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I encourage all of you to stay motivated because when you are in the midst of your hardest challenge you are prone to do your best. If you believe in yourself and push yourself to achieve your goals and dreams, you are very likely to succeed. Believing in yourself is the first step to success and maintaining a good work ethic is the second. Perceiving challenges as opportunities to succeed is an excellent way to take active strides towards a successful future. Always remember that success is 95% mental.<\/p>\n
