Hey Everyone! This post is about the importance of positively expressing yourself. As girls we often keep all of our feelings inside of us. Oftentimes we are hesitant to share. Many of us don’t realize how self destructive this habit actually is! Keeping our emotions inside of our heads doesn’t make them go away. When we don’t release our emotions they continue to grow. As a result, they come out of us rather violently. Our emotions usually manifest themselves by means of explosion or violent overreactions. Living in this cycle is very detrimental to achieving your goals and dreams.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Expressing yourself can seem like a very intimidating task. There is a proper way to express yourself and an improper way to express yourself. An example of an improper way to express yourself is insulting others. Insulting others is a terrible thing to do. You must realize that inflicting pain on others won’t make you happy! If you are a good person cruel acts will make you feel worse. To actively stride towards happiness and success you must recognize the importance of positively expressing yourself. Examples of expressing yourself positively are drawing, writing, dancing, and inspiring others. Taking the time to find a positive activity that enhances your life will change your quality of life drastically.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

By expressing yourself positively you will be less likely to be emotionally unstable, and you will be better equipped to work towards achieving your goals and dreams. Last weekend I tested the theory that positively expressing myself would better my quality of life. I drew several pictures and colored a picture that took hours to complete. At the end of the experiment, I concluded that I felt better and I had much less tension surrounding my thoughts and actions. This week I challenge you to find a positive way to express yourself or to try one of the examples that I provided. I will post a few of the pictures that I created at the end of this post for your inspiration.<\/p>\n
