Hey Everyone, long time no see! Today we are talking about something that is extremely important. We have referenced valuing ourselves before on this website. I think that this is a topic that deserves much more attention than previously given. Often times we have no problem with complimenting and valuing others but when it comes to ourselves we fall short. I used to be guilty of this as well, but today I believe that we should give some credit to the girl in the mirror. I’m sure that you’re ready to read on, so let’s get on with it!
“Why is it important to value myself” is a phrase that I hear often amongst girls today. I am always glad to answer it! We need to value ourselves because we are important, unique, and worthy of recognition. Many times we enjoy complimenting others but when we are complimented we reject the compliments and refuse to believe them. I am always astounded by this. What is the issue? Why do we deem ourselves unworthy of praise? The answer comes right back to the boomerang of insecurity. We must avoid this boomerang at all costs! Instead of allowing ourselves to receive the impact, we should stand firmly and remind ourselves often of our value.
We are capable, confident, and successful. We are girls! You don’t run from challenges, you confront them and achieve your goals. Believe that you can succeed, don’t doubt yourself! Remember to take some time to give some credit to the girl in the mirror. Why should we give her some credit? We should give her some credit because she deserves it! She is the one that has achieved everything in her life so far. That’s right, you are the one that is standing proudly and achieving your goals fearlessly. Don’t be afraid to give yourself some credit. Remember to smile at your reflection in the mirror, because you are beautiful, intelligent, and capable.
